Beneath northern skies, where wolves roam freely and rivers run deep, E.R. Travers writes stories of fate, freedom, and those wild places between. Her writings focus on the raw wilderness of British Columbia and choice between love and duty.

Born and raised in northern British Columbia, E.R. Travers (known as Ezzie) grew up with loon song, bracing mountain air, and the shaded underbelly of creek beds.

She began writing lost girls and dragons, but those early wonders soon gave way to something sharper. She soon heard the call of wolves—their frank brutality, unwavering loyalty, and wild grace. Ezzie was drawn to werewolves, creatures caught between humanity and brutality.

Her Fate of Wolves series follows werewolves torn between pack loyalty and personal destiny. Young wolves explore the bounds of love and duty, the cost of leadership, and the wilderness which both shelters and threatens the pack. These novels are filled with moonlight and meadow grass, family bonds and strained loyalties.

Through her poetry Travers explores similar themes through cicada shells, crushed bone, and carnelian caves. Her verses linger in the spaces where myth and memory meet.

And in all her writing, the wilderness of northern Canada is never far away, both as a setting and a character in its own right.

Beyond writing, Travers captures her world through a pollen dusted lens. Mushrooms rising from loamy beds, dogs racing the riverbank, paw prints pressed into mud—tokens to honour the magic of life’s fleeting moments.

A gallery on this page shares glimpses: the forest’s muted alchemy, the devotion of her dog Dixie, the shimmer of northern skies. Images that offer a window into her world, the inspiration behind her works.

When not writing, you’ll find Ezzie camping under the stars, paddle boarding beside loons, or following her dog Dixie off the beaten path.

If you too hear the call of wolves, rivers, and starlight, you’ll find them waiting in my words. Begin with Dawn of Fate, where fate and freedom collide in the wilds of northern BC. Or wander through my poetry—contemplations on the haunting nature of memory, love’s endurance, and the eternal life of the forest.
